it has been a long journey (pause for dramatic affect)
of advanced placement english and composition.
i have learned many of things -- from john edwards biting my leg off,
to malerie babb stating an original argument, from mean girls, to gran turino.
in the grand scheme of things, i feel as though, i am well learned.
i haven't gotten the best of grades on my long, mundane papers,
but i have gotten the greatest understanding of how they are supposed to be done.
i haven't understood everything toni morrison was supposed to be telling me,
but i have gained another way to understand books, and look at them as if it was a fish-bowl.
i haven't learned the whole thesaurus trying to find better words to make my writing more piquant,
but i have come close (:
i haven't done everything i was supposed to do (cough, annotations.),
but i have read the endless amounts of essays that may not have anything to do with college, but it will only help me read the really boring stuff later on.
i haven't always listened to boring lectures,
but i can tell you i wasn't texting on my phone.
i haven't always kept up with blogging,
but i have gained an understand from other kids in the class from reading their blogs.
ALL in ALL-
advanced placement composition was amazing. i loved it.
for the record- i got a 33 on my reading portion on the ACT---all thanks to mary rowlandson, godess of writing.
with peace & love (:
